If you need URGENT medical attention call

The GP Out of Hours Service NHS 111

It has come to our attention that many local residents have received a promotional letter from a company called Pharmacy2U. Please be aware that this is a marketing tactic from an on line pharmacy company based in Leeds and if you sign up (or 'nominate') them to be your pharmacy by returning the form with the letter, they will send your repeat medication via the Royal Mail. If you have received a letter from Pharmacy2U and are happy with your current nominated pharmacy and how you receive your medication, please ignore it.

Text Messaging Service - Does the Surgery have your current mobile number?

The practice is delighted to announce a new text messaging service using a piece of software called MJOG. We need your consent to send text messaging for the purpose of health care and appointment reminders.

Text messages are generated using a secure facility, however I understand that they are transmitted over a public network onto a personal telephone and as such may not be secure, however the practice will not transmit any information which would enable an individual patient to be identified.

Are your contact details up-to-date?

It is therefore vital that you inform the surgery of your mobile phone number. If you do not wish to receive these text messages in the future, the service allows the simple opt out by texting 'STOP' to the surgery or alternatively just let us know at reception and we will do the rest.
