Don’t forget, for non-urgent medical queries you can complete an Online Consult query, which will send a non-urgent request to the practice. This query will be looked at within 2 working days and a response provided to you if needed.
Accessibility
Physical accessibility ensures equal access to all. While we understand our building does have some limitations outside of our control, Wetmore Road Surgery has taken measures to ensure that the premises are accessible to patients with different access needs as follows:
• 2 Disabled parking spaces by the entrance and dropped curb.
• Automatic Opening Entrance door.
• The surgery is ground floor level throughout for patients.
• Section of Reception desk lowered.
• Translation Services available including British Sign Language if needed.
• Accessible Disabled toilet facilities with lowered hand basin and emergency pull cord.
• Spacious waiting room.
• Our staff are also very happy to help with any specific need you may have to access the services we provide.

Non-urgent advice: Extended Access
Outside Practice Hours: Ring 111
During the daytime a receptionist can contact the doctor on call.
After 6.00pm, and when the surgery is closed, you can call the Out of Hours Service directly on 111 from a landline or mobile phone free of charge.
They will discuss your problem with you, and decide how best to deal with it.
They may offer simple telephone advice, request that you visit the Out of Hours centre at Queen’s Hospital, Belvedere Road or send a doctor to visit.
The Out of Hours service is only for emergencies, and should not be used for routine matters.
In case of a life-threatening emergency, please dial 999.
