Practice Nurses

Our team of Practice Nurses and Health care Assistant have a range of experience in different areas.  Often it is better to see a different member of the team for certain conditions.  Please be aware that it may be necessary for our reception staff to ask the nature of you problem to ensure your appointment is with the most appropriate member of the team.


The roles of the team include:

  • well person health checks
  • contraception - pill checks
  • family planning
  • pre-pregnancy advice
  • child health clinics and immunisations
  • cervical smears
  • travel advice and immunisations including Yellow Fever
  • annual reviews for patients with ongoing medical problems
  • insulin initiation
  • diagnostic tests - ECGs, Spirometry, INR monitoring
  • ear syringing
  • wound dressing
  • nutrition and weight management advice
  • blood pressure checks
