Dr Stephen Law (Male)

MRCGP, DRCOG, (1992 Leicester) Steve is the lead partner for the IT within the practice. He has an interest in minor surgery, sports injuries and joint injections.

Dr Suzanne Baldock-Grimes (Female)

MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH (1990 Leicester) Suzanne is the lead partner for Practice Staffing and Personnel. She has an interest in Womens Health and Palliative Care.

Dr David Hallam (Male)

DoctorPartner

MRCGP, PGCME (1996 Leeds) David is the lead partner for education and training, including supervising the trainee doctors in the surgery. He has an interest in Mens Health. Outside the practice he also has a role as organiser of the programme of education for all trainee GPs in the region.

Dr Mellanie Kaye (Female)

MRCGP, DRCOG, DFSRH (2005 Leicester) Mellanie is the lead partner for the GP Contract. She has an interest in Contraception and Sexual Health.

Dr Ajitha Prasad (Female)

MB BCH BAO, MRCGP, MSc (Primary Health Care Studies), PGA Medical Education, DFSRH & LoC MedEd (Dublin 1995) Ajitha is a GP Trainer and a registered trainer for the FRSH (previously known as the Faculty of Family Planning). She also enjoys teaching medical students communication and consultation skills which are essential to General Practice. She is particularly interested in Clinical Commissioning and is keenly involved in this within the locality in order to help provide quality health care to meet the needs of the local community. In addition, Ajitha is an examiner for the medical school at Warwick University and a GP Appraiser for South Staffs PCT which involves annual review of other GPs to ensure good and safe practice.

Dr Donna Turfrey (Female)

MRCGP DRCOG BSc (pharmacology) (1998 London). Donna is a GP Trainer and is the Lead Partner for the training of GPs in the Practice and helps support and supervise GP trainees attached to the practice. She has an interest in women’s health and sexual health and is qualified to fit coils and implants for contraceptive purposes. Outside of the practice she works as the GP Facilitator for Staffordshire Training Hub. She leads on the GP Fellowship scheme which is a 2 year scheme supporting newly qualified GPs and also leads on a scheme offering coaching and mentoring to all GPs in Staffordshire. She is also a GP Appraiser which involves the annual review of other GPs to ensure good and safe practice.

Dr Louise Rhodes (Female)

Doctor

MRCGP, MBChB Louise joined the practice in July 2017. She has an interest in Children’s Health and Palliative Care.

Dr Tayyiba Ajmal (Female)

Doctor

MBChB (2005 Birmingham) MRCGP, DRCOG Tayyiba completed her final year of GP Training at the practice in 2015 and returned to the practice in October 2018 as locum doctor to cover a period of maternity. She joined the practice as a permanent doctor from September 2019. She has an interest in women’s health and children’s health.

Dr Adewole Abiola (Male)

MRCGP. Ade joined the team in 2022 and has an interest in minor surgery and joint injections.

Nicola joined the surgery in June 2024 after completing her GP training in the Burton region. 

She enjoys all areas of General Practice and has evolving interests in Palliative Care, Dermatology and Medical Education.

Non-urgent advice:

Available by appointment 8.30am to 5.20pm weekdays.

The practice nurses are responsible for child and travel vaccinations, health checks, cervical smears, ear syringing, family planning and warfarin monitoring.

The Practice Nurses monitor long term conditions such as diabetes, asthma and high blood pressure.

They can also discuss your lifestyle to become healthier by, for instance, stopping smoking, reducing your weight, changing your diet and drinking less alcohol.
